This lovely family was in Boston to visit colleges and wanted some family portraits in Beacon Hill while they were here! I loved showing them around my favorite spots including the iconic Acorn Street with its cobblestones and American flag.

These photos are from last year but I have to blog them before this year’s photos since we recreated a photo of Dad and his girls! This sweet loving family had their photo session at The Arnold Arboretum in Boston in fall 2019. The two older sisters were so good with their baby sister and they gave me the most genuine smiles!

Framingham State University Graduation Photos | Maria

My incredible friend Maria recently graduated from Framingham State University with her Masters. There may be no graduation this year but we did get some amazing photos of her and her family! Her parents were so happy and proud of her accomplishments! Graduation photos are so much fun and I love celebrating achievements!

Sudbury Grist Mill Fall Family Photos | Alleen

I had so much fun with this wonderful family at their Sudbury Grist Mill family photo session! The girls were so sweet together and I adored their beautiful yellow dresses from Target! The foliage was peaking and we got a great variety of photos around the mill!

Thank you to all my clients/friends for another amazing year! 2018 was the best year yet and it’s all thanks to the wonderful people I got to work with. I’ve rounded up my favorite images from the year, there were lots of Wellesley College photo shoots, a few elopements in Boston, new babies, and photos of my own family!

Darian & Chris were visiting from Georgia and wanted photos on Fan Pier. Darian is a photographer too and she and Chris were so much fun to shoot with.

I shot 2 Boston elopements this year, Boston is the perfect place to elope and I loved exploring the city!

I participated in the 3rd annual free photos for public safety families at Goddard State Park and started my own event here in Framingham! Taking photos of families with their officer in uniform is always a highlight of the year. The families are so sweet and I had a repeat family this year with their new baby!

And then we have fall minis! I loved seeing all my repeat clients and meeting new families. I took the majority of these at Wellesley College, I’m there so often they’re going to charge me tuition :)

I also took lots of family photos! My parents are in the first photo and the rest are my cousins.

My favorite college roommate (on the right) welcomed her son into the world this year!

How to Use Style & Select to Plan Family Photo Outfits

I recently discovered the wonderful service that is Style & Select. It’s a website that allows you to coordinate outfits for family photos. You simply fill out the questionnaire about your family and it suggests clothing for you. You can mix and match and see how everything looks together. Best of all you can email your selections to yourself (your photographer also gets a copy) and purchase items right through the site.

The website is free to use for clients with an access code and photographers pay a monthly or yearly fee to use the service.

Select ages and sizes for each family member

Choose your style and colors. The color squares are really bright but the suggested clothing is muted with lots of neutrals mixed in

The final sections! It took me less than 5 minutes to create this and I love that you can see all the items together. I always recommend choosing clothing that coordinates but doesn’t match. Style and Select makes it so easy!

My cousin, Amy, always picks out the best locations so I was excited when she suggested Lynch Park in Beverly, MA for their family photo session. The north shore park is right on the water with two beaches and a beautiful flower garden! The boys got to run all over the park and I loved spending some time with them.

Couples Session on Acorn Street in Beacon Hill | Katie

I cannot believe I've never shot in Beacon Hill before, Acorn Street is the perfect place for Christmas photos! I love the old historic parts of Boston, and it's close to the Boston Public Garden too. 

Marcus & Katie nailed their Christmas mini session! This newlywed military couple was so much fun and Katie balanced perfectly on the cobblestone street in heels.  I hope you have a wonderful first Christmas as husband and wife and treasure these photos always!

Wellesley Family Photos & Cake Smash | Jaclyn

Baby O had his one year photos and cake smash at Wellesley College a few weeks ago. He wasn't so sure about the family photo part but once the cake came out he started DANCING in his seat! I've never seen a baby so excited about cake but I can definitely relate to him!

What struck me most about this family is how well Jaclyn and Doug work as a team. I could tell how much they care about each other and I loved seeing their complete joy at everything little O did!

Wellesley Fall Family Photo Session

When planning a photo session, 99% of the time it's the mom's that reach out to me. So I was pleasantly surprised when Jeff contacted me to schedule a photo shoot! We planned to shoot at Wellesley College and luckily we still had some beautiful foliage. 

The kids definitely stole the show, Mr. A is a born comedian and Miss A was willing to take photos anywhere. They made our shoot so much fun, I loved exploring the campus with them!

Wellesley College One Year Photo Session | Teddy

I'm getting a little suspicious... all of my clients are drop dead gorgeous with great personalities. I must've done something spectacular in a past life or maybe my chakras are in order because I keep meeting the most amazing people! I recently met this fun little family at Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA for a one year photo session. Teddy has piercing baby blue eyes and is really excited about his standing skills. And I will never get tired of shooting in the old stone arches and beautiful architecture. 

Obear Park, Beverly,MA | Family Photos

I love taking photos for family, especially cousins that I don't get to see too often! I recently got to hang out with my little cousins at Obear Park in Beverly, MA. Their momma always chooses the best locations. The beach has a little sandbar that we walked out on and if you jumped on the sand clams would squirt out water! 

Afterwards we did a cake smash for my littlest cousin. He was so intent on his frosting until he was completely over the session!
