I recommend choosing 2-3 colors and sticking with that palate. We will work with you up until the shoot to help coordinate outfits and create a cohesive look. You can check out our style guide on pinterest @EricaPPP.
My style incorporates fun colors, patterns, and textures. A good way to start building your wardrobe is to pick one outfit with a great pattern and use that color inspiration to chose the rest of the outfits.
Chose colors that will look good in your house. What colors did you use to decorate? Pick colors that will complement your design tastes and look great on your walls.
Accessories are a great way to add a punch of color. Accessories should compliment an outfit, not distract from it.
Think of comfort. My sessions involve a lot of playing and interacting so if you’re not fully comfortable in heels that will be reflected in your photos. Wear something you feel good in and also don’t mind getting a little dirty.
Shoes: Boots, dressy sandals, wedges, sperry’s, converse. Barefoot is always a great option, weather permitting. Please stay away from sneakers, flip flops, and crocs!
Make-up: We recommend using a makeup artist if possible. If you opt to do your own make up, please refer to our separate make up guide for advice
Hair: We recommend getting your hair professionally styled if possible. If you are getting your hair cut or colored for your session, it’s best to do so at least one week in advance. Hair accessories are a great way to mix up an outfit and create a different “look” however, headbands should not overpower the face and should complement the outfit.
Please avoid the “matching button down shirts and jeans” look! Matchy-matchy is out. Coordinating color palates are in.
Other things to avoid: Logo’s on T-shirts, character sneakers, (any sneakers really)
